Women’s Day Event

As women’s day approaches, there are so many wonderful events on to celebrate this special day for women. The event I decided to attend this year was the amazing event organised by the Women in Food Industry discussing Strong in Sustainability and Standing up.

This event featured two panels with a total of 6 inspiring women, a mini food fair and 2 photography workshops.

It was great to have my teas featured in both photography workshops with a session on iced teas in the morning and hot teas with pancakes (as it was pancake day) in the afternoon. We all got to learn so much about how to use light and create great compositions to take breath-taking photos.

At the mini food fair, I got to speak to lots of wonderful people, met other women in the food community and also connected with other lovely female founders.

Several people bought my products too with a lot of people being intrigued by the moon lattes.

Finally in the panels, we got to listen to stories about how the work place is dominated by men and how women have to work harder to make their stand. I related to quite a few stories from other women – it’s strange to think how similar our stories are given that we are all from completely different backgrounds.

All in all, it was a wonderful way to celebrate women’s day. I hope where-ever you are, you take a moment to celebrate women and how far we have come. Much love xxx
