Kenyan Purple Tea – A Rare Super Antioxidant Tea from the Highlands of Kenya
Experience the power of Kenyan Purple Tea – a rare, antioxidant-rich tea grown in the pristine highlands of Kenya. With its stunning red hue and unmatched health benefits, Kenya Purple Tea is the ultimate wellness tea, packed with anthocyanins, polyphenols, and catechins to support immunity, heart health, and overall well-being.
Grown at high altitudes in Kenya’s nutrient-rich volcanic soils, this unique tea thrives in an environment that enhances its superfood properties. Unlike green or black tea, Kenyan Purple Tea contains higher levels of anthocyanins – the same powerful antioxidants found in blueberries and acai berries – making it a true powerhouse for your health.
The leaves of this tea are reddish – purple in colour. These contain high levels of anthocyanin compounds similar to those in blueberries, purple grapes etc. that are rich in antioxidants.
This rare tea was developed by the Kenya Research Institute over a period of 25 years of research. It is derived from the same plant as black, green and white tea but naturally produces purple/red leaves. It is grown on higher elevations that allow the plant to get more intense sun rays hence increasing the concentrations of anthocyanins and polyphenols compared to black and green tea.

What Makes Kenyan Purple Tea Unique?
Unlike traditional teas, Kenyan Purple Tea is derived from a special tea cultivar rich in anthocyanins—the same compounds that give blueberries, grapes, and pomegranates their vibrant color and powerful health benefits.
Grown at altitudes of over 6,000 feet, this unique Kenyan tea develops higher levels of antioxidants due to the intense UV exposure at these elevations. The result? A naturally vibrant purple tea with superior health benefits and a delicate, smooth flavor that’s perfect for daily sipping.
